Q: I do not see the Addins4Outlook menu in Outlook and I do not see the
Color list?
A: TaskColors may be disabled by Outlook. To re-enable TaskColors:
Start Outlook
Select Help - About Microsoft Outlook
Click Disable Items button
Select TaskColors 4Outlook
Click Enable
If the above does not solve your problem, Check to see that
TaskColors is installed properly.
Start Outlook
Click Tools - Options
Click Other tab
Click on the Advanced Options button
Click on Com-Addins button
Verify that TaskColors is on the
list, and it should be ticked.
If TaskColors is not ticked, then do
so.
If your problem is unsolved try reinstalling TaskColors 4Outlook
Q: Which version(s) of outlook does TaskColors 4Outlook work?
A: TaskColors 4Outlook works with Outlook 2000, 2002/XP and 2003. It does
not work with Outlook Express
Q: I cannot view my Tasks in Color even when trying to color from the
Color list?
A: Tasks can be only displayed in color if your Tasks Folder is
configured to display Tasks in color.
To configure your tasks folder to display Tasks in color:
Open Outlook
Click Addins4Outlook - TaskColors -
Settings.
Click Configure Folder to choose a
Tasks Folder
Click the Browse button (...) to
select a Tasks Folder
Click OK
The tasks folder will be configured to display Tasks in color
Q: I am coloring Tasks and I want all Tasks of the same color to be
grouped together.
A: Click on any Tasks folder. You will observe a Task Color field in this
folder. Click on the Task Color field to group your Tasks
Q: I cannot see the Task Color field that you mention above
A: To view tasks in color, the Tasks folder should be configured to
display Tasks in color. If a folder is not configured to
display Tasks in color you will not see the Task Color field.
To configure your tasks folder to display Tasks in color:
Open Outlook
Click Addins4Outlook - TaskColors - Settings.
Click Configure Folder to choose a Tasks Folder
Click the Browse button (...) to select a Tasks Folder
Click OK
The tasks folder will be configured to display Tasks in color
and the Task Color field should be visible
Q: I am not able to use TaskColors as a non-admin user?
A: To use TaskColors as a non-admin user follow the steps below:
Login as the non-admin user.
Go to "C:\Program Files\TaskColors
4Outlook"
Double click on "TaskColors_User.reg"
file
Click Yes
Click OK
This should allow a non-admin user to use TaskColors.
Q: I have misplaced my unlock code. How can I retrieve my
registration information?
